The CRPS Forum (Cork, Republic of Ireland)

The CRPS Forum (Cork) was established in 2017 by one of our CRPS UK Clinical & Research Network members. Much like us, it is a voluntary group of similar minded healthcare professionals, who are interested in provided greater awareness of CRPS. It aims to provide support for people who are living with the condition and their healthcare providers.

Ongoing aims of the CRPS Forum (Cork) include:

  • development of an early screening pathway to identify people who may be at risk of CRPS
  • ensuring early intervention via appropriate healthcare provider involvement in therapy planning
  • supporting individual healthcare providers to adopt a multi-disciplinary team approach

Previous projects have included:

  • development of a CRPS screening tool for use in an outpatient setting
  • development of an online exercise programme to encourage continuation of exercises in conjunction with a hand specialist. You can watch the Cork University Hospital's "Keep Moving, Keep Using" hand exercise video below
