CRPSAssist - a Web App Resource for Physiotherapists

CRPSAssist

Launched in November 2020, CRPSAssist is a web app for all European physiotherapists who may know a little about CRPS but need some practical guidance. It is hosted by the European Pain Federation (EFIC).

The app was developed by a small working group. This included therapists with expertise in CRPS within acute and chronic pain management settings, Dr Andreas Goebel (lead author of the UK guidelines for CRPS and Chair of the IASP Special Interest Group for CRPS), plus a web and app development company. It has been peer reviewed via the CRPS UK Clinical & Research Network, along with other international clinician experts in CRPS.

CRPSAssist provides fast access to expert advice, helping clinicians to identify patients with the condition and enabling them to decide what to do next. Key features of the app include:

  • What is CRPS?
  • Symptoms and management
  • Downloadable IASP 'Budapest' diagnostic criteria form
  • Common pitfalls
  • Practical tips
  • Expert guidance and support from real clinicians at the touch of a button, wherever and whenever it is needed
  • Completely free (simply requires internet access to download and use)

The CRPSAssist app is available from the EFIC website
