Establishing evidence-based management of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome to improve clinical outcomes through the care pathway (ENACT-CRPS)
(sponsored by the University of the West of England)
Researchers are exploring the management of CRPS within secondary care and community settings. They also wish to understand and describe the therapies delivered in the small number of specialist centres within England. As part of this, patients have been asked about their experience of therapies received and any changes they have noticed as a result of receiving this care.
The UK Registry has been used to recruit some of the participants and study interviews have taken place. This has helped researchers to gain a better understanding of the current care provided to people with CRPS. The results will also contribute to the development of a draft package of care that the study team hope will allow improved patient access to treatments for CRPS.
